We have a built-in microwave oven over our stove.   Three days before my wife was giving a baby shower at our home for 18 ladies the microwave broke.  This microwave in encased in wood and has a granite backing that it must fit precisely into.

I called David Donohue and he showed up on time and expertly installed the new microwave into this very limited opening.  After they were finished they cleaned up everything perfectly and removed the old micro wave from our home.

The guys were very friendly, professional and took great care not to leave any mess behind.

This past summer I had to have significant structural and finish work done at my 1937 Craftsman style house after a long term renter moved out.  I also needed it done fast in order to get the house back on the rental market as quickly as possible.

Enter David Donohue and Touchstone Home Improvement!  The initial project was foundation work - installing new support beams where the floor had buckled and repairing a sagging interior wall.  Next was major repair to lath and plaster walls, all new electrical service and plumbing  in the kitchen and laundry, a few new windows, all interior painting, assorted interior carpentry repairs, and a long list of garden landscape repairs (carpentry, electrical, painting).

Touchstone was the general contractor and managed the subcontractors for cabinets and flooring.  The work was done in cost effective and timely manner.  The quality of the work was superior, the Touchstone crew was hard working, highly skilled, very pleasant and efficient, and the worksite was kept extremely tidy.  I never had to worry that things were not being done to my specifications or getting lost in the shuffle.

Everything came out great!   So a big THANK YOU to Touchstone Home Improvement and David Donohue.

David is clean, thoughtful, and does very professional work. I was very pleased with the outcome.

David is very attentive to all the work he does, even the simple things, like hanging a picture, or building a workbench. Everything is extremely well-measured and thought out.
